this is just a small thought but i think i might wanna move to australia to cover shows on a regular basis.
of course, getting paid for it too, hopefully.
emphasis on 'hopefully'.
the thought occurred to me this morning during class.
i was looking at one music site in particular - looked like it works pretty much the same way that other sounds operates.
i mean, there wasn't much difference, not even in the layout of the site and all.
(on a side note: damn i really have to find more avenues through which i can vent my music/photog thoughts/frustrations)
so yeah
i guess when compared to the larger states australia doesn't get much attention from bands but it certainly gets more than singapore any day.
and even if i didn't get to shoot huge bands like foals or peace at least covering the local shows wouldn't be too bad either, i mean, they are australian after all.
the birthplace of last dinosaurs.
sigh.
yeah, haven't really given this thought much.. thought. but it's there.

update:
there's a plus side and a minus side to music photography in australia.
the minus side is as mentioned above (less bands perform on a regular basis there as compared to larger states),
and the plus side, which i've just conveniently thought of, is that there will be an annual festival taking place there every year: laneway. australia is literally the founder of the festival, the place where it all got started.
moving there and shooting there might give me a chance to photograph a festival like that, hopefully.
oh but then again there are larger-scale festivals to think about too, elsewhere, like glastonbury, reading + leeds, etc.
ah, damn. ok i hadn't thought that far, clearly. shit.
ugh, the uk really has it all.
