Fuck this course and this school.
I don't think I can ever stress this enough.
The only reason why I still put up with all this shit - my course, the assignments, all these people, these low-lives, the very scum of Singapore, the collective idiocy, painfully bearing with sentences spoken which are largely comprised of half-broken-English & (what I perceive to be) broken Chinese, etc. - is essentially because of this simple, basic idea: that the second mouse gets the cheese.
This 3-year course, as I would like to think, is nothing but a trial period. A time to go out and test the waters, so to speak. To experiment. To learn things. To go out there and see what the working world is like.
All before ultimately deciding on what career path exactly I'm willing to take that is.
Oh, and tested the waters I have. Photography in general sure as hell is a dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself industry/line of work.
Anyways, at the moment, it seems like pursuing something along the lines of mass communication/journalism still appears fairly feasible.
I've been looking at one particular university actually. Monash, in Australia. For a Bachelor of Arts. Looking at the course outline, it basically covers pretty much all the areas that a Mass Comm. course would cover in poly.
And I actually have a friend who got accepted into the course. I'm meeting up with him soon to discuss more about his arrangements for living in Australia and the works.
Yeah. That's basically about all I wanted to get off my chest for now.
Fuck NYP.
